Privacy policy
Who we are
onlinecopywrite.com is operated by a sole trader established in Portugal. Our full legal identity, registered address and tax registration are published on the Legal Notice page, as Portuguese law requires. For data protection purposes we are the controller of the personal data described below.
This site does not use cookies
We want to state this plainly rather than leave it implied. This website sets no cookies at all — no analytics, no advertising or retargeting pixels, no third-party embeds, no social widgets, and no fonts loaded from anyone else’s server. There is no CAPTCHA.
Because nothing is stored on or read from your device, the cookie-consent rules in Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, as transposed into Portuguese law, are never triggered. That is why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.
If that ever changes — if analytics were added, for example — this policy would be updated and a consent mechanism added before the change went live, not after.
What the contact form collects
When you use the form to ask about a project, we collect your name, email address, company or brand name, website address, which service you are asking about, your project brief, approximate scope, timeline, budget range, how you heard of us, and your confirmation that you have read this policy.
We use it to understand your enquiry, reply to it, and — if the project goes ahead — to prepare a quote and deliver the work.
Why we are allowed to process it
For most of the data above, the lawful basis is Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract. You are the one making contact and asking us to quote on work — we are not collecting this to market to you unprompted.
Where we keep an enquiry for a limited period afterwards for our own records, the basis is Article 6(1)(f), legitimate interests, weighed against your right to privacy. You can object at any time.
The confirmation checkbox exists so that you have actively read this policy before submitting. It is not itself a separate consent basis, because we do not need your consent to reply to a message you sent us asking for a quote.
Spam protection, and the hashed counter
The form carries a hidden field that real visitors never fill in, a minimum time-on-form check, and a timestamp signed on our server so a submission cannot be forged or replayed.
We also keep a short-lived counter so one source cannot flood the form. That counter is keyed to a hashed version of your IP address, never the address itself, and it holds nothing else — it is a counter, not a log of who visited. The lawful basis is legitimate interests: keeping the form usable.
What we do not do
We do not sell or rent your data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not profile you or make automated decisions about you. We do not add you to a mailing list because you sent an enquiry.
Your rights
You can ask what data we hold and get a copy, have inaccurate data corrected, ask us to delete data we no longer have a reason to keep, ask us to restrict processing, and object to any processing based on our legitimate interests.
You can also complain to the Portuguese supervisory authority, the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados (CNPD), Av. D. Carlos I, 134, 1.º, 1200-651 Lisboa — geral@cnpd.pt, www.cnpd.pt.
Children
This service is aimed at businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change how we handle data, this page changes and the date at the top changes with it. If we ever begin using cookies or third-party tracking, it will be said here first, with a consent mechanism in place before it goes live.
